St. Joe’s Alonzo Lewis is the 2021 Heart Walk Co-chair

Over the years, St. Joe’s Ann Arbor has been a top Heart Walk supporter raising funds for groundbreaking research, critical patient education and community projects. Leadership would like to encourage everyone to sign up and be part of the team to help end heart disease. You can be one of the 20 Coaches or one of the 200 walkers/runners needed to reach our fundraising goal of $50,000. Register to be a coach or walker/runner on the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System Heart Walk page today!

Over the past fifty years, the American Heart Association has funded 746 research grants at Michigan Medicine totaling over $69M. During COVID, the AHA will provide more than 200 blood pressure cuffs within Washtenaw County to community members who otherwise would not be able to monitor their blood pressure from home. Lastly, the AHA has been able to train more than 500,000 Michigan residents in hands-only CPR within the past year. Your local efforts are saving lives.
