LIVONIA – St. Mary Mercy Livonia staff and patients were treated to a unique sight last Thursday evening – a parade of vehicles from the Livonia Fire & Police Departments and private ambulance companies. The fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars took a “solidarity lap” around SMML with their lights on and sirens off as a sign of support and admiration for hospital colleagues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Livonia Police Department also shared a touching video on their Facebook page of the solidarity lap. In the video, we hear the prayer they offered in support of our staff, see drone footage of the solidarity lap, and listen to Livonia Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan expressing her gratitude.
